Solutions Engineer (Pre- / PostSales)

Main responsibilities:

As a pre-sales solutions engineer for the Sales and Installed Base Business teams, you will be the technical expert in the pre- and post-sales environment involving large, enterprise level prospects. You will conduct demos, work with prospect IT and other groups to understand requirements, complete RFIs, and perform other tasks as required. You will work with various departments such as Engineering and Product
Marketing to make sure the prospect's questions are fully addressed. The position is technical and a background in network management and analysis
and Internet infrastructure is a decided plus, along with several years experience in Unix and Windows environments. You must possess strong
interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly verbally and in your writings.

Specifically, your duties include:

Technical presentations and demonstrations of our services Understand prospect technical requirements, assist Sales Representatives in qualifying customers/prospects, and address
customer/prospect concerns in a straightforward, open, and expressive manner Key contact for RFIs and RFPs
Deliver presentations to prospect technical representatives and articulate our value proposition
Assist in implementations and act as a customer advocate.

The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications:

  • Development or Professional Services
  • Broad understanding of enterprise computing environments, with an emphasis in networking troubleshooting
  • Experience with ASP solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows platforms, and working knowledge of Mac and Unix platforms
  • Solutions selling experience, particularly to 'C' level (CEO, CIO) and technical audiences
  • Proven project management
